I feel very sad Maurice Sendak passed away because my sisters and I tremendously enjoyed his books.

I'd like to add my Betty MacDonald research, letters and documents - to our new Betty MacDonald biography.

Are there any plans to present the Betty MacDonald documentary in colour at the next Betty MacDonald fan club conference?

Mary Bard Jensen letters

Martin:

My grandmother, who was also a doctor's wife agreed with Mary Bard Jensen after reading her book 'The Doctor Wears Three Faces'.

She wrote to Mary Bard Jensen and Mary wrote back.

There are several very, very witty letters and I'll write a Betty MacDonald Fan Club and Mary Bard Jensen Society article.

Let's cooperate with the Betty MacDonald Fan Club story ' Maurice Sendak and Betty MacDonald'.

One of my very close friends produced a Maurice Sendak biography for TV.
I had the opportunity to meet Maurice Sendak during this production and we talked about his illustrations for Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's farm.

Imagine, my Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's farm copy includes an original Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle illustration by Maurice Sendak.

I  agree with other Betty MacDonald Fan Club fans.

Darsie Bard's and Gammy's letters are my favourites because they are full of deep humanity and wisdom.

Maurice Sendak and Betty MacDonald

Maurice Sendak, very famous and  beloved writer and illustrator, passed away on May 8 at the age of 83.

We are very sad.

Maurice Sendak illustrated  Betty MacDonald's Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's farm which is our favourite.

Eartha and I own a huge Maurice Sendak Collection including several letters mentioning Betty MacDonald and her books.

We are working on a Maurice Sendak story for Betty MacDonald Fan Club Newsletter.

at the last Betty MacDonald Fan Club meeting I met a lady who told me she had several Betty MacDonald letters addressed to her grandmother.

She shared them with me and we both are working on a story for one of the next Betty MacDonald Fan Club Newsletters.

I adore Betty MacDonald's, Mary Bard Jensen's, Sydney Bard's letters but my favourites are the ones by Gammy and her son Darise Bard.
